Since the beginning, the Sunday Ripple podcast has been running on a rhythm of two episodes a week—one recapping our church’s Sunday message and another rooted in original reflections. But starting this week, I’m shifting to something simpler: one episode a week, fully original content. It’s a small structural change, but for me, it’s a big spiritual one.
This shift is about rhythm—and honoring the one God built into creation. From Genesis, where God rested on the seventh day, to Jesus inviting His disciples to “come away and rest” (Mark 6:31), Scripture reminds us: we’re not machines. We’re designed to live with margin. Producing constant content had me writing while tired and editing while distracted. And I knew something had to change—not because the work wasn’t good, but because it wasn’t sustainable.
I also realized that original content comes from a deeper place. It takes more prayer, more time in Scripture, and more listening. But that’s where the transformation happens—not just for you as the listener, but for me as the creator. Like Paul told Timothy, I want to “fan into flame the gift of God” (2 Timothy 1:6), not just keep it barely going with rushed episodes.
This change is also about focus. Proverbs 4 reminds us to “give careful thought to the paths for your feet.” I’m leaning into what Sunday Ripple is uniquely called to be: a space for thoughtful, biblical reflection that stays with you. Less content, but deeper content. Slower, but stronger.
So thank you for growing with me. I hope this new rhythm gives us both the space to slow down, lean in, and carry God’s truth into everyday life. As always—small ripples can make a big impact. Go make yours.
